The room was huge and cozy, but the bed reminded me of a pit.

Everything was modern during 2 days, loved its beautiful and lovely location really close to a park with a play area and a children's farm, the historic center and a children's farm.

Liked Alkmaar, the hotel was stunningly beautiful within walking distance of the City Centre.

The old prison charm was totally unique, and the food was great. Highly recommend the cozy courtyard for relaxation.

Staying in a former prison cell was a hilarious twist! My room was massive and super comfy. The restaurant staff were accommodating, whipping up dairy-free meals right before closing. Only hiccup was a slight delay during check-in, but overall great vibe!

Everything was brand-new, helpful staff, beautiful location really close to a park with a play area, restaurant and Center. Greatly enjoyed to spend 3 days in our quiet double room with the bathroom as well as great bed. The meals were good.

We greatly enjoyed this beautiful boutique hotel. We had a double room with central heating, multi-channel television, and coffee/tea making equipment. Particularly good and stunning position was an added bonus.

Staying in a former prison was unique! The converted cells gave the room a spacious feel, particularly in the Beautiful Double Room, where I found a large sitting area and a great coffee machine. Cleanliness stood out, with everything super clean upon arrival. The design preserved the building's historical charm, such as the steel doors and arched ceilings. The hotel staff were accommodating, especially when they willingly helped with a room change for health reasons. I loved the cozy restaurant atmosphere, filled with both guests and locals, indicating the quality of meals. I noticed some peeling paint in a few areas of the hotel, and having no complimentary water available could be a downside for traveling families. Still, I really appreciated the easy access to the city center was good.

Absolutely dismayed. I expected a big room upgrade but received a cramped Beautiful Double Room. To top it off, the bathroom lacked towel hanging options. Almost gave a good review for the unique decor, but with strange noises keeping me awake, I just couldn't.

We enjoyed how the spacious room accommodated our pet, and the cozy courtyard added charm to our mornings. The breakfast could use a lot of improvement. It felt more like a budget option than what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber.

The large bedroom was immaculate, and the staff were great (like my personal concierge!). Enjoyed relaxing in the sun terrace. The location feels special, being set near a park.
